We particularly loved the deck and the sound of the ocean at night, and as we came in t he winter, the wood fire was wonderful. The table tennis table got a lot o f use too! We were very comfortable and had a fantastic stay - we'll be back!.

Back to nature and total relaxation. A great way to reconnect with disengaging teenagers! Table tennis tournaments, trivial pursuit, mad swimming in the very cold ocean, old movies by the fire and especialy reading by the window, sun streaming in occasionally looking up to spot a koal or fabulous parrot....Bliss for me and four teenagers. They even went on the swings!!

Forest Edge is a secluded beach house nestled between the state forest, tree tops and the sea down the Great Ocean Road at Kennett River.

Escape the hustle and bustle of city life and escape to Forest Edge and enjoy the best view in Kennett River. Our property is unique because you can enjoy spectacular views and be only a five minute walk away from the beach.

With stunning ocean views, with a coastal view north facing Forest Edge is out of wind and enjoys plenty of winter and summer sun - perfect for barbeques and alfresco dining. Listen to the crashing waves as you drift off to sleep at night after a relaxing (or busy - its up to you!) day.

The house is tucked away in a very private position on a large block backing onto the national park with great coastal views. You can check out the break on the point to see if you should get that surf board out to catch that wave!

Walk down to Koala Cafe to treat the kids an icy pole, buy the paper and wander across to the beach, and watch the locals surf - this is the life! Once your home again, see the koalas in the treetops or feed the parrots - right outside your back door.

Forest Edge is a large residence with enough space for 2 families or more. Enyoy a beach retreat across 2 living levels. The top level has 3 bedrooms and one bathroom and the lower offers 2 bedrooms and bathroom. Perfect for being with your friends and families without living in each others pockets.

Forest Edge has the following features:

  • Sleeps up to 14 people with 3 large queen bedrooms with inbuilt cupboards (sleeps 6)and 2 bunk rooms –one with one bunk (sleeps 2)and the other, we call the room Camp Kennnett, with 3 single bunks (sleeps 6)
  • Large separate games room  with table tennis table, tv, dvd and  cd player- shut the kids noise out while you enjoy some privacy and drinks on the deck!
  • Send the kids outside to enjoy a large safe property to play on the swing, cubby, slide and jungle bars and chase the skinks.
  • Porta cot (byo own cot linen)
  • Baby bath and potty and stair guard provided
  • Large separate living area  with lounges and tv and dvd player.10 seater dining table.
  • Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. stove, microwave, bread maker, juicer and coffee machine
  • 2 bathrooms with showers on each level (hairdryer available)
  • Separate laundry with washing machine (Hills Hoist in the garden)
  • Iron and board
  • Airconditioniong - Upper rooms have reverse cycle to cool in summer

  • Extra heating and blankets provided in each bedroom.Electric blankets on queen beds.
  • 2 large deck  areas and outdoor furniture and the one at the back with a bbq- eat Al Fresco whilst you look down the coast and watch the surfers on the point
